Wine Cheat is aimed at those whose primary objective is to obtain a basic wine knowledge whilst having a good amount of fun doing so. The focus of this course is more on tasting than theory, more drinking that thinking!
Course Overview
1. Basic Introduction to Wine Tasting
2. The "correct way to taste"; what matters and what doesn't (hint: most of it doesn't)
3. Overview of the major
i. Regions - Old Vs New World and what it actually means
ii. Grapes - The usual suspects, how to identify each, give-away taste notes, which are good value and which are not
iii. Wine styles - A quick guide to the basic styles and some easy-to-remember terminology
4. Become a Wine Cheat: Tips and Tricks for identifying what you like and WHY you like it
5. Blind Tasting: Some fun and games to finish; putting the Wine Cheat theory into practice

Throughout the evening all participants will be offered a selection of wines to enjoy at their leisure.
Throughout parts 3, 4 & 5 there will also be wines to taste as part of the course material.
We are confident by the end of the evening you will be able to tell a Cab Sav from a Shiraz, a Chardonnay from a Sav Blanc or a Pinot from a Chianti.
